Malawian forward Richard Mbulu scored a crucial goal as Costa do Sol defeated Ferroviario de Lichinga 3-1 in the Moçambola League on Monday.

Mbulu doubled the lead in the 28th minute, following Isaac’s opener in the 25th minute. Isaac added his second goal before halftime, securing a comfortable lead.

This goal brings Mbulu’s season tally to four, placing him seven goals behind the league’s top scorer.

Mbulu started alongside Lloyd Njaliwa and Chikoti Chirwa, while Yamikani Chester began on the bench.

The victory propels Costa do Sol to the top of the standings with 34 points from 17 games, surpassing UD Songo (33 points from 16 games) and Black Bulls (32 points from 14 games).

Moçambola League Standings:

1. Costa do Sol – 34 points (17 games)
2. UD Songo – 33 points (16 games)
3. Black Bulls – 32 points (14 games)
