Kalembera resign as chairperson of committee to oversee election of AAM.

The Malawi National council of Sports (MNCS) has announced that the chairperson of committee set to oversee elections of the executive committee of the Athletics Association of Malawi (AAM) Justice Sylvester Kalembera step down with immediate effect.

According to a letter signed by MNCS Chairperson Sunduzwayo Madise says his office received the letter of resignation from justice Kalembera who was the chairperson assigned to formulate the new constitution of Athletic Association of Malawi (AAM).

“I have received , with regrate a letter from Justice Sylvester Kalembera tendering his resignation as chairperson of the committee that was set to up to oversee the formulation of new constitution for Athletic Association of Malawi (AAM).”

He further say that the council will remember Justice Sylvester Kalembera as he achieved more during his time as oversee the drafting and the adoption of a new constitution of Athletic Association of Malawi (AAM) and oversee the election of regional Committee of AAM.

MNCS says the committee which was assigned to set the election was at final stage of holding the election.

He added that this has affect the AAM general election which was slated to take place on Saturday April 29,2023 in Salima and this has resulted into postponement as directed by ministry of youth and sports.
