Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Head Coach, Mark Simon Harrison said they expect a tough game against League anchors, Extreme FC on Saturday.

Wanderers are seven days away from home following their back-to-back away fixtures. They were in Karonga last weekend where they beat Karonga United and they will return home after their game against Elvis Kafoteka’s side.

Harrison whose side sit third on the log table with 17 points said his charges must not underestimate Extreme FC.

“I have told the boys to work hard if we are to achieve a positive result, ” he said.

Two weeks ago, Wanderers suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat to Chitipa United at home and Harrison said the boys have learnt a lesson from that game.

“Chitipa FC brought the game to the party. I hope the boys have learnt a lesson not to for granted any side wether at the top or at the bottom of the league.

“We are not underrating Extreme, we expect a tough game,” he added.

Extreme FC are yet to win a game in the elite league and they sit at the very bottom of the 16-member Super League table.

However, their Co-coach, Elvis Kafoteka said they can turn their season around against Wanderers.

Kafoteka who was appointed to help them team said they can become just the second newly promoted team to beat the Nomads after Chitipa United.

“I have been telling these boys to have a belief that we can do it. In football, everything is possible. I have told them not to be afraid of the names, to say they have a foreign coach, we are all the same. I believe that the better team will get the points on the day,” he added.

Joseph Malizani quit the role of being the Head coach of the team due to the security reasons as he allegedly said that people in Mchinji were plotting bad against him.

Kafoteka after his appointment said he believes that Extreme are a good side and he has high hopes that the team can stand doing well.

“We have a good team, good players and I hope results will start be coming. We have a very good coach and with what I have, I believe that we can give what we have for the team to win games,” he said.
