Speaking on behalf of the entire national football team, the Flames captain has delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude to the President of the Republic of Malawi, His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, for his unwavering support ahead of the team’s COSAFA Cup campaign.

“On behalf of my teammates and the entire Flames squad, I want to extend our deepest appreciation to His Excellency, Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, for the generous support and for accepting to be our Patron. This is historical and a transformative precedent,” said the captain.

President Chakwera recently pledged MK50 million to support the Flames—an act the team describes as a major morale booster and a clear signal of national unity and belief in the power of sport.
