Chihana Urges Malawians to Embrace Truth, Transparency, and Accountability
Mzuzu, Malawi — The Second Vice President, Enock Chihana, has called on Malawians to cultivate a culture of truth, transparency, and accountability through constructive engagement with those in authority.
Speaking on Monday during an engagement meeting with businesspeople in Mzuzu, Chihana emphasized that national progress is strengthened when citizens actively participate in understanding decisions and policies that impact their lives.
He stressed that leaders have a duty to communicate clearly and honestly, while citizens must also take responsibility to seek clarification whenever information appears unclear.
Chihana further observed that some community challenges persist because people often remain silent when uncertain about certain decisions or developments.

During the meeting, business representatives highlighted the importance of open communication between government and the private sector. They noted that transparency not only builds confidence but also fosters effective collaboration for economic growth and community development.
In conclusion, Chihana reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working closely with citizens and stakeholders in promoting inclusive national development.
