Sparc Systems Donates K15m to Beit Cure for 80 Surgeries
Beit Cure Children’s Hospital has received a donation of K15 million from Sparc Systems to support 80 surgeries for children with treatable disabilities.
The hospital is fundraising for K210 million to perform the surgeries.
Davie Simengwa, Director of Programs and Development at Beit-CURE Children’s Hospital, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating that their target for this year is 2300 surgeries. With this contribution, they have now fundraised for 2220 surgeries, leaving a balance of 80.
“We are working towards supporting 80 more surgeries with various corporates. With this donation of K15 million, we are now left with a balance of K175 million. We are still looking for support from various corporates within the country,” Simengwa said.
The donation will go directly towards supporting the 80 surgeries, enabling many children to receive free medical care.
Wisely Phiri, Managing Director of Sparc Systems Limited, explained that the contribution was made in response to the hospital’s recent appeal.
“We are honoured to assist Beit Cure in their mission of delivering life-changing medical services, especially to children from hard-to-reach areas. We have seen the impact of the funds and are proud to support this noble cause.”
