A plane carrying ballot ink for use in the September 16 elections has arrived at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.

The delivery marks a key milestone in preparations for the polls, ensuring that all essential voting materials are secured well in advance.

Senior Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) officials, led by Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja, were on hand to receive and inspect the consignment.

Their presence highlighted the Commission’s commitment to transparency, readiness, and credibility in managing the electoral process.

MEC says the arrival of the ink is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen public confidence and reassure Malawians that all logistical arrangements are on track for the crucial vote.
