Independent parliamentary hopeful Fiskani Nyondo has urged the people of Chitipa Central to entrust him with their vote in the upcoming general elections, promising a bold, action-oriented development agenda for the constituency.
Speaking at Kawale Teachers Development Centre shortly after submitting his nomination papers to the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC), Nyondo outlined his vision to transform the district if elected.
“My campaign is rooted in action—not empty promises. The people of Chitipa deserve real change, and I am ready to deliver it,” he said to loud applause from his supporters.

Among his top priorities, Nyondo pledged to tackle food insecurity by helping farmers access fertilizer through soft loans, aimed at boosting agricultural productivity across the district.
He also committed to improving essential infrastructure by connecting rural communities to electricity and providing clean water, both of which he described as critical to raising living standards in Chitipa.
To address youth unemployment, Nyondo unveiled plans to establish vocational skills training centers and introduce a first-of-its-kind initiative that would offer access to driving schools. Successful trainees would receive driver’s licenses on flexible loan terms.
“This is not just politics—it’s about empowering our youth and preparing them for self-reliance and long-term success,” Nyondo emphasized.
As the campaign season gains momentum, Nyondo is banking on his independent status to appeal to voters seeking a candidate focused on people rather than party interests.
