The High Court Lilongwe has given a go-ahead to the planned protests to Kamuzu Palace tomorrow, Thursday; pushing for the resignation of President Lazarus Chakwera.
A grouping under the banner, Malawi First, has obtained a court order through its president Bon Kalindo and General Secretary Redson Munlo, stopping Lilongwe District Council from prohibiting the demonstrations.
They are demanding that Malawi should hold fresh polls in 90 days to elect a government that is accountable, transparent and responsible to its people.
But the court has ordered the grouping to deliver its grievances at a distance not less than 100 meters from State House.
Munlo has since called on Malawians to patronize the demos to display their frustrations in the matter Chakwera is managing state affairs.
