Tanzanian President, Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to have a three-day State visit to Malawi from 5th to 7th July 2023.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tanzanian President will be a Special Guest when President Lazarus Chakwera and Malawians will be commemorating the country’s 59th anniversary on Thursday, 6 July 2023.
“During the State Visit, Her Excellency, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan will among other engagements, join as a special Guest of Honour, His Excellency Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and the people of Malawi in comemmorating Malawi’s 59th Anniversary of Independence on Thursday, 6 July, 2023,” reads the press release in part.
This year’s Independence day celebrations will start with prayers at BICC on 5th July and the climax will be on 6th July at Bingu National Stadium where there will be entertainment such as music, Traditional dances and a Football match between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Young Africans (Yanga FC) from Tanzania.
