The Film Association of Malawi (FAMA) has expressed gratitude to Goshen City Malawi for sponsoring the 2025 Film Festival and Gala Night.
In a statement released by FAMA President Dorothy Kingston, she praised Goshen City Malawi for their significant contribution to the event, which was held on 19 December 2025 at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
“Your contribution not only enabled us to showcase the incredible talent within Malawi’s film industry but also helped us create a platform that celebrates creativity, cultural identity, and storytelling,” part of the statement read.
The remarks come shortly after Goshen City Malawi announced its decision to end its collaboration with FAMA. The company explained that the move was intended to allow both organizations to pursue their objectives independently.
Goshen City Malawi was the main sponsor of the Film Festival and Gala Night, contributing K28 million in cash, plus $5,170 to bring in international actors.
