Malawi Reels from Tropical Cyclone Jude’s Fury

A devastating trail of destruction has been left in the wake of Tropical Cyclone Jude, which has ravaged 11 districts in Malawi. The latest reports from the Department of Disaster Management (DoDMA) indicate that the cyclone’s impact has been felt by 20,646 people with Phalombe District Council bearing the brunt of the disaster.

The cyclone’s wrath has resulted in 15 injuries, while three people remain missing in Nsanje.

As the search and rescue operations continue, concerns are growing about the long-term effects of the disaster on the affected communities.
