Chakwera Urges Youth to Lead the Fight Against Corruption

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has called on the youth to take an active role in combating corruption, emphasizing their power in reporting malpractice and rejecting corrupt practices.
Speaking at the SONA for Youth session at Grand Place Hotel in Mzuzu, Chakwera highlighted corruption as a major obstacle to national progress, warning that it limits opportunities and obstructs development.
He condemned policymakers who exploit vulnerable citizens by soliciting bribes, stressing the need for accountability.
The president also urged young people to seize existing opportunities in various development sectors, citing initiatives like the Agriculture Commercialisation Initiative (AGCOM) as key to youth empowerment. He reassured that the government is committed to equipping the youth with resources to drive meaningful change.
