Kadzanja Urges Young People to Shun Political Violence Ahead of 2025 Polls

Ntchisi North Member of Parliament (MP) Arnold Kadzanja has urged young people in Malawi to reject political violence as the country prepares for the September 2025 general elections.
Speaking in an interview with Malawi Guardian, Kadzanja emphasized that youth should focus on national development rather than being used by politicians to perpetrate violence.
“It is high time young people took an active role in the country’s development to help achieve the Vision 2063 agenda, which aims to transform Malawi into a middle-income nation through wealth creation,” Kadzanja said.
He highlighted that with their large population, young people have the potential to drive Malawi’s economic growth.
Kadzanja also encouraged youth participation in politics, urging them to contest for positions such as councillor and Member of Parliament in the upcoming elections.
As one of the youngest legislators in Parliament, Kadzanja has expressed his intention to defend his Ntchisi North parliamentary seat in the September polls.
Malawi is set to hold its general elections on September 15, 2025.
