FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have bolstered their squad with the permanent signing of goalkeeper Austin Chirambo from Manchester Motors. The 22-year-old, widely known as “Giant” due to his towering physique, has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the club.

Chirambo is no stranger to Bullets, having first been part of their youth setup in 2021 before moving to Manchester Motors. He later returned on loan in January 2023, making 37 appearances for the reserves and keeping an impressive 19 clean sheets.

His talent extends beyond club football, with international experience under his belt. He featured for Malawi’s Under-20 side at the COSAFA games in Eswatini and had a stint with the senior national team in South Africa. Additionally, he has been on standby for the Flames during several AFCON qualifiers.

Renowned for his sharp reflexes, commanding aerial presence, and solid ball-handling skills, Chirambo is also honing his footwork to adapt to the demands of modern goalkeeping. His addition to the Bullets squad is expected to strengthen the club’s goalkeeping department as they aim for further success in domestic and international competitions.

With his potential and work ethic, Chirambo could soon become a key figure between the posts for the People’s Team. Fans will be eager to see how the “Giant” rises to the challenge on the big stage.
