Mighty Wanderers Football Club has announced that it will grant naming rights exclusively to high-value sponsors, following the conclusion of its partnership with Mukuru Transfer Limited.

Mukuru had been the naming rights sponsor since 2022, during which time the team was rebranded as Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.

The partnership, valued at K175 million annually, officially ended this year, marking a significant shift in the club’s sponsorship strategy.

According to Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Panganeni Ndovi, the club will revert to its original name, Mighty Wanderers Football Club, until a new sponsor meeting their high-value criteria is secured.

Despite the end of the Mukuru partnership, the club maintains existing sponsorships with notable entities, including Ekhaya, The Thomson and Babra Mpinganjira Foundation and 888 Bets.

These partnerships are expected to provide continued support to the team as it seeks a lucrative deal to fill the naming rights vacancy. The club’s decision to target high-value sponsors underscores its ambitions to elevate its brand and secure financial stability for long-term success.
