Bullets confirm departure of two senior defenders

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have announced that defenders Gomegzani Chirwa and Nickson Nyasulu will be leaving the club when their contracts expire next month. This development was confirmed by the club through their official Facebook page.
This announcement comes as a surprise, as the club had previously announced the release of several players last week. However, it appears that the departure of Chirwa and Nyasulu was not part of that initial announcement.
Initially, it was expected that the departure of the duo would be acrimonious. However, in a surprising twist, the club revealed that they had offered contract extensions to both players, which they declined.
Chirwa, 28, has been a stalwart defender for Bullets since joining the club from Civil Sporting Club in 2019. He has made 186 appearances for the team. Nyasulu, 26, has also been a key player, making 149 appearances for Bullets.
The club has thanked the duo for their contributions to the team and wished them well in their future endeavors. The departure of these two senior defenders will likely be felt by the team, but the club’s decision to part ways with them on good terms is a testament to the positive relationships within the squad.
