LUANAR to Distribute Certificates to 8th Congregation Graduates Amid Logistical Concerns
Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) is set to distribute certificates to graduates of its 8th congregation following complaints about delays in issuance.
The certificates will be available for collection starting January 8 at the Bunda campus in NTC Room 7, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Graduates are required to present their National IDs to collect their certificates.
However, the decision has raised logistical concerns among some graduates. One graduate highlighted the financial strain of traveling to Lilongwe, noting that the cost poses a significant challenge. Others questioned the university’s centralized approach, calling for alternative options such as regional collection points or online issuance to ease the burden on graduates from distant locations.
The 8th congregation ceremony, which was held from November 21 to 22 last year, celebrated the achievements of numerous graduates. The university’s certificate distribution plan, however, has sparked a broader debate about accessibility and inclusivity in administrative processes.
