Teams in the Central Region Football Association (CRFA) Chipiku Premier division league have now switched their attention to the qualification into the national division league set to roll out this year.
Villa Football Club who are currently chasing Blue Eagles in the title race, dwelling on second position with 36 points 12 a draft league leaders, Blue Eagles FC says they will play their lungs out in today’s Mchinji Derby at the Mchinji Community ground against Extreme FC to increase their chances of finishing within top four best teams.
Villa head coach Eliah Phiri described today’s maximum three points as pivotal in the quest of playing in the inaugural national division league.
His opposite number, Extreme FC head coach Trust Nyirenda who are playing at home anticipates a tough match and has since appealed to the home fans to rally behind them.
A Win for Extreme FC today will increase their chances of finishing in top four and qualify into the national division league. They are heading into this afternoon’s encounter from a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Namitete Zitha FC while Villa registered an emphatic 7-3 win over Airborne Rangers FC.
In the first round of the 12 teams Villa defeated Extreme 2-1 and today they will be going into the match to replicate the result.
Extreme Football Club who got relegated from the Malawi’s elite league last season are currently on position four with 28 points from 17 games.
