Raiply Malawi Limited to Host New Year’s Celebration Honoring Community Support and Environmental Conservation
Raiply Malawi Limited is set to host a public New Year’s celebration on January 1, 2025, as a gesture of gratitude for the company’s achievements and the unwavering support of the community.
The event also aims to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation.
This celebration has become a cherished tradition on Raiply Malawi Limited’s corporate calendar, bringing together community members, employees, and stakeholders to usher in the new year. According to Dalitso Chimwala, the company’s Public Relations Officer, the day will feature a wide range of activities, including traditional dances, football, netball, volleyball, athletics, bicycle racing, and a parade by the company’s security guards.
Traditional dance groups from Mzimba, Kasungu, and Nkhata Bay will perform popular dances such as Malipenga, Mganda, Gulewankulu, and Vimbuza. These performances celebrate Malawian culture and underscore Raiply Malawi’s commitment to preserving and promoting local traditions.
Raiply Malawi Limited acknowledges that its success is deeply intertwined with the support of the community. The celebration serves as a platform to express gratitude for this support, especially for the community’s adherence to the company’s call to prevent forest fires. This has been a significant challenge in the past, but communities in Nkhata Bay and Mzimba have made commendable efforts in protecting the forest.
