NRFA General Secretary Bid Interest for Chairmanship Position
Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) General Secretary, Masiya Nyasulu, has declared interest his candidacy for the position of Chairperson in the upcoming Elective General Assembly.
Nyasulu expressed confidence in his bid, emphasizing his readiness to assume the role and restore trust among affiliates within the association.
“I am prepared to take on the responsibilities of Chairperson and will work tirelessly to rebuild confidence and unity among our members,” he said.
The chairmanship is currently held by Chauka Mwasimga, who succeeded Dr. Lameck Zetu Khonje. Dr. Khonje, a former NRFA Chairperson, now serves as the Second Vice President of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), leaving a legacy that Nyasulu aims to build upon.
Nyasulu’s announcement signals an intense race for leadership as stakeholders prepare to evaluate his vision and promises for the future of football in the Northern Region. The Elective General Assembly is expected to draw significant attention, given the strategic importance of the NRFA in nurturing grassroots football and contributing to national football development.
Observers anticipate that Nyasulu’s campaign will focus on transparency, development programs, and fostering stronger relationships between the association and its affiliates.
