Masiya Nyasulu Emerges as Favorite in NRFA Chairmanship Race
Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) General Secretary, Masiya Nyasulu, appears poised for victory in the upcoming chairmanship elections, according to research conducted by this publication.
The study, which surveyed NRFA affiliates, revealed overwhelming support for Nyasulu. Findings indicate that 85.2% of the members strongly favor his leadership.
The report highlights widespread dissatisfaction with the current leadership, citing a significant loss of trust among affiliates. Many believe Nyasulu’s leadership offers a path to restoring integrity and transparency within the association.
“If elections were held today, we would unanimously vote for Masiya Nyasulu. We have lost faith in the current leadership and believe Nyasulu can restore our trust in football,” said one affiliate from an unknown district association.
A representative from an undefined District Football Association echoed similar sentiments, revealing that their committee had already agreed on who to endorse, though refraining from disclosing names.
“As affiliates, we are ready to effect change. While we won’t name names here, rest assured we are determined to elect new leadership,” they said.
These sentiments underline Nyasulu’s growing popularity and the urgency for a leadership shift among the NRFA membership. As the election date approaches, all eyes will be on Nyasulu to see if his vision for change can translate into decisive action and success at the polls.
