Standard Bank Champions SME Empowerment Through Innovation

Standard Bank Plc has underscored the critical role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in driving economic growth, highlighting its commitment to supporting their development.

Speaking on Wednesday during a visit to the Phuka Incubation Hub in Lilongwe, Graham Chipande, the bank’s Head of Business and Commercial Clients, revealed that Standard Bank has successfully engaged with 1,000 SMEs through various strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing their operational capacity.

Entrepreneur Martine Sikanda, owner of Praise Investment and General Dealers, praised the Phuka Incubation Program for its transformative impact, noting that it has significantly improved her ability to add value to agricultural produce and livestock.
