Flames Announce 25-Man Squad for Final AFCON Qualifiers Under Interim Coach Kalisto Pasuwa
Interim head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has named a 25-man squad for Malawi’s last matches in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Burundi and Burkina Faso.
The Flames will travel to Ivory Coast for an away game against Burundi on Thursday, November 14, before concluding their campaign with a home match against Burkina Faso at Bingu National Stadium on Monday, November 18.
Pasuwa, appointed as caretaker following Patrick Mabedi’s departure, has made notable recalls, including South African-based striker Gabadinho Mhango and Romanian-based defender Charles Petro.
Local players will gather in Lilongwe over the weekend, departing for Ivory Coast on Monday, while international players will join directly from their respective bases.
