Patricia Kaliati Files Nomination for UTM Party Presidency
United Transformation Movement Secretary General Patricia Kaliati has formally submitted her nomination papers to run for the presidency of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) party. As a woman candidate, she benefited from the party’s initiative to reduce nomination fees for women and youth by half, paying K10 million instead of the standard K20 million for male candidates.
Arriving at UTM headquarters, Kaliati was met by a large group of enthusiastic supporters who cheered her on as she made her way to submit her papers. Her candidacy is seen as a significant addition to the upcoming UTM convention, where she is widely regarded as a strong advocate for the party’s mission and a prominent leader within its ranks.
The UTM convention, set for later this month, is anticipated to be highly competitive, with Kaliati’s bid heightening the excitement. Her supporters hope her experience and dedication will lead her to the party’s top leadership position, signaling a new chapter for both her and UTM.
