Mchacha Re-assigned as DPP Regional Governor for the South

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has re-assigned Charles Mchacha from his role as National Operations Director to Regional Governor for the southern region.

This decision was confirmed by DPP Administrative Secretary Francis Mphepo, who announced that Mchacha’s appointment was made by the party’s president, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

“With the power vested in him, under Article 10, subsection 8, the president of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, has re-assigned you from National Operations Director to now Regional Governor – South,” Mphepo stated.

At the DPP National Convention in August 2024, Charles Mchacha was elected as National Operations Director.
