MDFA Presents Prizes to Castel Challenge Cup Winners

The Mzuzu District Football Association (MDFA) held its prize presentation ceremony for the 2024 Castel Challenge Cup at the Regional Sports Office in Mzuzu.

MDFA General Secretary, Alphack Mkandawire, expressed satisfaction with the competition’s level of play and discipline.

“The Castel Challenge Cup showcased excellent competition and discipline. We’re proud of our champions, Hilltop FC, and believe they’ll excel in their round of 32 match.”

Hilltop FC official, Moffat Kapira, welcomed the prize money, saying:

“The K1,000,000 prize will motivate our players ahead of the round of 32 clash against Baka City in Karonga. We’re hopeful of a win.”

Hilltop FC received K1,000,000, while runners-up Bwabwa United got K400,000.

This prize presentation marks the culmination of the Castel Challenge Cup and sets the stage for Hilltop FC’s next challenge.
