Nkhata Bay Murder Arrest: 41-Year-Old Buma Manda Faces Justice
A brutal killing occurred at Chitheka trading centre in Nkhata Bay District, claiming the life of 32-year-old Chikhulupiliro Chilora.
His wife reported that Chilora left home on August 15, 2024, to withdraw cash at the trading centre via Airtel Money. Upon arrival, he was attacked by middle-aged men wielding weapons, beaten, and stabbed, ultimately becoming unconscious.
The incident was reported to Mzenga Police Unit, prompting investigations.
Buma Manda, 41, from Chisalanda Village, T/A Kabunduli, Nkhata Bay District, was arrested on October 1, 2024, and charged with murder.
Manda will soon face court proceedings.
Police continue to investigate, seeking to apprehend all individuals involved in Chilora’s killing.
