Kafunsila Pledges to Cover Examination Fees for 100 Needy Students

Leonard Kafunsila, the People’s Party Shadow Member of Parliament for Zomba Nsondole, has made a generous commitment to pay examination fees for 100 needy primary school standard 8 learners in his constituency for the upcoming 2025 MANEB examinations.
During his visit to communities within Traditional Authority Katumanji and Group Village Headman Lundu in Nkhalawango village, Kafunsila confirmed his pledge, citing his admiration for Dr. Joyce Banda’s initiatives that promote animal farming as a sustainable livelihood amidst Malawi’s financial challenges.
Kafunsila praised Dr. Banda, Malawi’s first female president, who led the country from 2012 to 2014, for her efforts in building houses for elderly people, a move he considers a significant milestone for the People’s Party. Dr. Banda, renowned for her advocacy of women’s rights and empowerment, has left a lasting impact on Malawi.
“I commend Dr. Joyce Banda for her initiatives that encourage people to utilize animal farming as a sustainable livelihood, especially amid the country’s financial challenges. Inspired by her commitment, I decided to support my area’s needs, aligning with President Dr. Joyce Banda’s priorities,” said Kafunsila.
