Dedza Dynamos CEO Expresses Shock Over FAM’s Ruling on Promise Kamwendo’s Status”
Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Flellah Kulemelo has expressed shock over the ruling by the Football Association of Malawi’s (FAM) Player Status Committee regarding the status of Promise Kamwendo.
The committee’s verdict, which followed a complaint from FCB Nyasa Bullets, stated that:
– The agreement between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC and Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos FC is unenforceable.
– The contract between Dedza Dynamos and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC is invalid.
– The contract between Dedza Dynamos and Promise Kamwendo is still running, and the player must return to his club.
– Dedza must refund the 3 million kwacha and 4 million kwacha it collected from FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC, respectively, within 14 days.
– Dedza is further condemned to a fine of 3 million kwacha, payable within 14 days.
– Promise Kamwendo must refund the 6 million kwacha he collected as a signing-on fee from Wanderers, payable within 14 days.
– Wanderers are also fined 4 million kwacha, payable within 14 days.
According to Kulemelo, Dedza is currently consulting on their next step regarding the ruling.
