Aviator in Skies Again
Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera left the country this morning for Beijing, China for the Summit Meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Speaking before leaving, President Lazarus Chakwera says he will sell the much-touted ATM Strategy.
The strategy focuses on Agriculture, Tourism and Mining sectors.
While there, Chakwera will join other African Heads of State and Government to consider and adopt the 2025-2027 Beijing FOCAC Plan of Action which will guide China-Africa engagements in various sectors for the next three years.
He will also hold bilateral talks with China President Xi Jinping to strengthen the cordial bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting is also expected to enhance the Malawi-China cooperation in various transport infrastructure projects.
Chakwera left the country through Kamuzu International Airport and is expected to return home on 7th September 2024 through Kamuzu International Airport in Blantyre.
