Jumbe urges Malawians not to let Chil ima’s killers go unpunished
President of Chilungamo Party Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, has urged Malawians not to let Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima and eight other killers go unpunished, saying the upcoming general elections must provide Malawians with the opportunity to hold the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) accountable for all their failures.
The death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, on Monday, 10th June 2024 in the Chikangawa forest in the Mzimba district has seen the government not instituting a Commission of Inquiry to establish circumstances that led to the military aircraft going missing and crashing.
The Malawi Defence Force (MDF) and German aircraft manufacturers investigations are not commission of inquiries and as such, their reports cannot be made publicly and this has left millions of Malawians speechless.
Writing in a statement, comrade Jumbe says through the people’s votes, they can demand the truth and justice on the circumstances that led to the death of the departed Vice President Dr. Chilima and eight others, who tragically died in a plane crash.
Jumbe has advised Malawians to use the power of the ballot to ensure that the legacy of Dr. Saulosi Chilima is honored and that those who seek to hide the truth are held responsible expressing hope that Malawians are the new generation of information that one day all shall come to light, it is not only one swallow that makes a summer.
He says the memory of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and the other eight who tragically lost their lives in that plane crash must not fade quickly from Malawian hearts and minds saying Chilima’s contributions to the country are always honored for generations to come.
“We cannot afford to forget, nor should we allow ourselves to be distracted by anyone who is on stage acting not even by fake stopovers or projected rallies of the MCP,” reads Alhaji Jumbe’s writing on the wall.
Comrade Jumbe has lamented that the failure to provide a convincing and transparent explanation for what caused the plane to crash in the Chikangawa forest in Mzimba by the MCP, it gives Malawians more questions than answers.
He has observed that the current situation where President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera was seen in Germany dining, cycling, and photo sessions with the very people whom they are investing in the plane crash in Malawi, is giving Malawians doubts.
Jumbe says the actions by President Chakwera have left Malawians with no aorta of doubt but to believe that there is someone, somewhere who is withholding the truth from the people surrounding the plane crash which cost the life of Dr. Chilima and eight others.
