MK hands Chibavi Real Stars First Defeat in MYFC FCB Under 20

Two second half goals from MK Academy were enough to end Chibavi Real Stars unbeaten run in Mzuzu Youth Football Committee FCB Under 20 game played at Chibavi ground on Friday.

A fierce game from two unbeaten teams attracted a good number of spectators lived up to the expectation of many.

After a goalless first half which saw both teams missing clear cut chances, Jomole Phiri utilized the home team’s defense failure to mark him to curve the ball beyond advancing keeper to give the visitors a lead before another goal in the dying minutes from his partner Moses Singini who capitalized a loose ball in the box to give the visitors a vital goal that gave his team a top spot via a goal difference.

The win means MK Academy has displaced Chibavi Real Stars on the summit through a better goal aggregate with 20 points from 8 games while maintaining unbeaten run with a game in hand against Real Stars.

Earlier at the same pitch Mzuzu City Hammers Youth were humbled 1-3 by visitors 3 Mzilawaingwe proving to be a day to forget for the home teams.
