Former Central Bank Governor Dr. Dalitso Kabambe recently visited the Masambanjati Constituency in Thyolo District to inaugurate the new UTM office and to rally local support for the party’s future goals. The establishment of this office signifies UTM’s commitment to serving the community and its aspiration to lead the constituency in the upcoming year.

During his visit, Dr. Kabambe addressed the local residents, emphasizing the need for a change in leadership. His plan includes revitalizing local agriculture by distributing over 1,000 cassava seedlings to boost crop production, which has suffered due to diseases. A key part of UTM’s strategy involves revitalizing the cultivation of various fruits and maize, supported by the establishment of canning and juice production factories. This initiative is expected to create jobs and provide a stable market for local produce, fostering economic growth and development.
