NRFA Impressed with Teams Discipline

The Northern Region Football Association says it is impressed with the level of discipline the teams are showing in the ongoing cluster stages of the NRFA Simso Mzuzu 12 sponsors league.
The association’s General Secretary Masiya Nyasulu said this after witnessing Chibavi Real Stars and Chintheche United at Chibavi ground.
“The competition is very stiff if we go by the log tables on the discipline teams are observing fair play we have hope this will continue in the last 8., Nyasulu said.
In the game,e Peter Kamfoloma gave the home team an early lead at 5 minutes while Brian Maulidi pulled an equalizer at 20 minutes four minutes later Henderson Kanyika restored the lead for Chibavi Real Stars only to be canceled by a well-executed free kick which was laid to Thoko Kamanga who squared into the danger zone to find Maulidi who shot past helpless Mhone between the post receiving sensational praise from the spectators, so it ended Chibavi Real Stars 2 Chintheche United 2.
Ruben Njaliwa conceded the defeat attributing the draw to missed chances and complacency while hoping to qualify for the last 8.
“It was a good game we controlled the game in the first minutes we had several chances we missed in the second half they failed to contain the pressure but the hope of qualifying for the last 8 is intact., said Njaliwa.
His counterpart Milan Banda who had only one player on the bench says they will have to work on their discipline as it affected their performance.
“We struggled especially in the first half due to officiation, on the other hand, we have to discipline some of our players who failed to join the team on this trip we had only one player because six players were not with us., Banda said.
With the draw means that Chintheche United has opened a five-point gap as they now have 19 points while Chibavi Real Stars now have moved from position 6 to 4 with 13 points a point less than Eagle Strikers in second position.
