Ken Msonda backs Chilima’s family for their lamentation
Ken Msonda, has backed Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima’s family’s lamentation and concern that some people are using the name of the departed Vice President as a campaign tool to advance their political agenda.
Msonda said death is very painful saying he has passed through sorrowful times and seeing others taking the death of others as a playful thing, is inhuman and satanic claiming that the family did not name who are these people.
He said opposition parties DPP and UTM are the ones that are not respecting the death of Dr. Chilima as evidenced by Candlelight Memorial Services claiming that in these, they take it as Talk Shows doing some things that cannot please the family.
Speaking through an audio clip circulating on various social media platforms, Msonda has appealed to all not to take death as a playful thing advising all to give a break to Dr. Chilima’s family to mourn in peace and in a dignified manner.
“I share their concern and lamentation 100 percent right, those that are celebrating today are those that were against him, those that are advancing politics through Dr. Chilima’s name are finishing themselves,” said Msonda.
But, a Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala has reminded Msonda that he is a politician and his comments even if they are genuine, Malawians cannot take it as seriously.
Kamphangala has backed those who are holding Candlelight Memorial Services as doing a good thing claiming that Malawians are demanding speedy answers from the government on the tragic and mysterious death of Dr. Chilima.
He said these Candlelight Memorial Services are being patronized by many Malawians regardless of their political parties saying it is wrong to be saying that DPP and UTM are gaining an advantage to advance their political ambitions.
Kamphangala said while he shares the same concern and lamentation as Dr. Chilima’s family, the government has a key to telling Malawians the truth about Dr. Chilima’s tragic death claiming that every tragic and mysterious death has a suspect or suspects.
He recalled that Malawians have been demanding three transparent and credible investigations, one for Dr. Chilima’s family and UTM, Church organizations and Civil Society Organizations (CSOS) and that of government warning the government that if these investigations have not been in place, except Candlelight Memorial Services to continue across the country.
