Police geared to provide adequate security over Easter holiday in Mzuzu

Police in Mzuzu city wishes to assure residents of adequate safety and security over the 2024 Easter Holidays.

Our approaches to ensuring security include increased numbers of police officers deployed for both day and night patrols.

The deployed officers on duty will both be in uniform and plane clothes.

The deployment has been made in such a way that all locations including Zolozolo, Katoto, Chiputula, Mchengautuba, Chibavi, Hilltop just to mention a few have been considered special patrol teams.

These include traffic police officers who will be manning our strategic roadblocks, check points and conducting vehicle patrols.

People should work hand in hand with the law enforcers by way of providing necessary information on all suspected criminals or those breaching road traffic regulations on the roads.

They should also ensure their homes are well secured if going out by identifying responsible persons to take custody in their absence.

Those driving/riding/cycling on the roads should exercise extra caution and accommodate other road users to prevent road carnage.
