Chipolopolo Return Home
Lusaka – The Chipolopolo boys arrived home on Wednesday 27 March 2024 afternoon from Lilongwe where they participated in the Four Nations tournament. Zambia emerged third after beating Malawi 2-1 in the final match. Previously, Zambia lost 6-5 on post match penalties to Zimbabwe.
The game against Zimbabwe went to penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time. Kenya emerged winners after beating Malawi 4-0 and Zimbabwe 3-1.
The Zambian foreign based players flew directly to their bases from Lilongwe. Coach Avram Grant is using the FIFA window matches to prepare for the June round of World Cup qualifiers against Morocco and Tanzania.
