Police Arrest Man for Breaking, Recover Stolen Properties in Mzuzu
Police in Mzuzu have arrested 19- year-old Precious Tembo for breaking into a garage and stealing motor vehicle spare parts worth three million, eight hundred thousand Kwacha (3,800,000.00).
The reporter William Nsambo went to his workshop in Chibavi location within Mzuzu City on March 6,2024 and later discovered that unknown criminals broke into his garage.
They went away with assorted motor vehicle spare parts.
Nsambo was tipped by well wishers and with the assistance of community policing members, managed to intercept the suspect who was on his way to Zigwagwa market.
They recovered the stolen items.
Scene of crime was visited by Criminal Investigations Department (CID) personnel from Mzuzu Police and the breaking was confirmed through the entrance to the garage.
Meanwhile Tembo will appear before court soon to answer the charges of breaking into a building and committing a felony there in.
He hails from Mkumpha village in the area of Traditional Authority Mkumpha in Likoma district.
