Chitipa Unveil Kafoteka as Head Coach
The 2023 TNM Super League most improved team, Chitipa United finally settled for Elvis Kafoteka as Head Coach following the departure of McDonald Nginde Mtetemera, who joined the newly promoted CRECK Sporting Club.
The former Escom United and Flames full-back, Kafoteka has signed a two-year contract with the Northern Region based side which will expire early 2026
The Inkhalamu Zga ku Chitipa started the dogging for the coach following the departure of Mtetemera earlier this month.
The team General Secretary Watson Kaghabe said the team will come up with the statement soon.
However, Kafoteka has announced his departure from Extreme saying he is taking a new challenge.
“I wanna truly thank Extreme football club and it’s great officials, people who gave me a platform, people that sacrificed everything and resources to support the team which wasn’t easy.
“Kwaine ndikuyamika you supported me throughout and I don’t look back and regret starting my elite league journey with Extreme fc, zikomo kwambiri,” he said.
Kafoteka worked with Mchinji-based relegated Extreme Fc where his team ended the 2023 league at the very foot of the table.
Chitipa United ended the 2023 Tnm Superleague season in the top 5 and was voted the most improved team.
