Ekwaiweni Tafika Intensifies Simso Innobuild Preparations

Simso Innobuild League side Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports Academy has intensified its preparations ahead of a new season with the aim of beating last season’s mark.
According to Director for the Academy, Shupo Kumwenda, the early preparations will give the team enough time to work shortfalls after a progressive last season in which the team qualified for the national phase of FDH Cup and finished third in Nyasa Capital Finance.
“We want to have a better team this year we had a good team towards the end of last season we just have to beef up some areas so we are playing several strength testing matches with different teams.” Kumwenda said.
Kumwenda added the team is planning to host Tnm super league side Moyale Barracks at their base to build players confidence in the forthcoming season.
“Looking ahead we want to host two or three big teams and Moyale Barracks should be one of them as we have a better working relationship so far so good.” Kumwenda added.
Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports beat Nkhatabay based side Chikwina Select 4-2 in a friendly game played at Ekwaiweni.
Simso Innobuild Northern Region Football League 2024 season is slated to kick off in April.
