Madolo Multimedia Company Signs Artist Chiksy

Madolo Multimedia Company has signed Lilongwe based celebrated upcoming Afro Pop artist ku Lilongwe hit marker Chiksy real name Chikondi Mbatata to a one-year contract.
A press release posted on the company’s Facebook page on 5th February 2024, stated that Chiksy will collaborate with the company in audio and video releases, promotional campaigns, and live performances.
Speaking in an interview Wednesday, manager for Madolo Multimedia Company Sella Mtambo said Chiksy is a talented artist that needs a good platform to put Malawi on the map.
“We advertised on our online pages [Facebook Page and WhatsApp Page] asking young talented artists to send their music. 107 artists sent their songs but our judges chose Chiksy as an artist we could sign because of his talent,” Mtambo said.
She described Chiksy’s work as an inspiration that has potential to contribute towards Malawi’s development if well nurtured.
“I know that Chiksy will continue to grow as he promotes our brand. I would like to encourage upcoming artists to produce work that has meaning and not simply composing songs for the sake of fame,” she added.
The company received over 170 songs from 107 artists saying some artists were sending more than two songs.
On his part Chiksy expressed happiness saying he did not expect a popular brand like Madolo Multimedia Company to choose him out of many artists.
“I am very glad and I appreciate the love from Madolo Multimedia Company to manage me and my music career. It is such a blessing,” Chiksy said.
He said he started his carrier in 2019 but found it hard to penetrate into the market where there is so much talent.
“I will use this opportunity as my last chance,” added Chisky, born on February 5, 2000 in Nkhotakota.
