There is No HIV/Aids Cure vaccine – NAC
The National Aids Commission says cases of misleading, false and inaccurate messages about drugs that allegedly treat and cure HIV and AIDS continue to be on the increase in the country a development which is said to be putting many lives at risk.
NAC Corporate services and public relations officer Karen Msiska says such unfortunate trends are being propagated by those that fail to comply to the HIV and AIDS prevention and management act, which he says needs popularisation.
Meanwhile President for the Society of Medical doctors Dr Victor Mithi says enforcement of the act is also an issue that needs to be addressed as some do not know the contents of the act.
As of 2022 the country had 927,310 people on Anti-Retroviral drugs treatment in Malawi.
