Msonda breaks the silence that he is alone
Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) National Governing Council( NGC) member Kenneth Msonda, says he is now happy to learn that those that were hiding in his name are now speaking for themselves citing Leader of Opposition in Parliament Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa.
Msonda says he has nothing to lose, politics is a very serious business saying some politicians thought that they were using him not knowing that he has been using them to advance his political career and no one can kill his career.
He said from 2020 his political profile graph has grown high claiming himself that he is in the top 10 of prominent politicians in the mind of Malawians out of 100 politicians speaking for itself that he has been changing colours not to be used by anyone in politics.
Speaking through an audio clip circulating in various social media platforms, Msonda said he went to court to withdraw a case for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika not standing in the 2025 elections as DPP Presidential torchbearer proving to all that he was not sent by anyone in the DPP.
Msonda has dismissed claims made by other members of the DPP that he belonged to Kondwani Nankhumwa’s camp claiming that his going to court was made by himself and not sent by anyone saying even Nankhumwa was not aware and was very surprised to learn of his decision.
He said he travelled to Mangochi to attend the NGC meeting on his own accord saying his phone was off and after opening it, he saw a message written by Nankhumwa that he was taking a risk of being beaten up by DPP cadets, a thing which did not happen.
The NGC member said for these two occasions, going to court to withdraw a case against Mutharika and attending NGC meeting in Mangochi, it is a clear testimony that no one can use him in politics but he uses other politicians for him to advance in his political ambition.
“Nankhumwa was not aware and was surprised hearing of the two developments, for 30 years, have been in active politics running frontline decisions, decisions that are concreate, one cannot finish me, I will finish him,” said Msonda.
During the NGC meeting in Mangochi, former President and DPP leader Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika accused Msonda of working hard to destroy the DPP telling him openly that if he is tired with the DPP, he should go back to his former party-the Peoples Party.
Msonda apologized for everything praying for a renewed commitment declaring his interest to contest for DPP Vice President for the North position during the forthcoming elective conference.
