Catholic Bishops assures same-sex unions not permitted in Malawi

Catholic Bishops in Malawi have assured all Catholics and all those interested in Catholic teaching of the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church that Marriage remains the union between a man and a woman, naturally open to the generation of children.
The bishops say to avoid creating confusion among the faithful, they have directed that for pastoral reasons, blessings of any kind and for same-sex unions of any kind, are not permitted in Malawi.
Catholic Bishops in Malawi were giving their stance following a declaration by the Head of the Catholic Church Pope Francis permitting Roman Catholic priests to bless same-sex marriage as widely reported by the Vatican news.
Bishop Alberto Rojas of the Diocese of San Bernardino in USA writing in a Pastoral Letter says a blessing is not a Sacrament and anybody can give a blessing to anybody else observing that in the biblical sense, is the general gesture to wish good to others.
“As disciples of Jesus, we are called to extend His love and mercy to all our brothers and sisters including LGBTO+ couples without a qualification or judgement,” reads part of the Pastoral Letter.
Giving his reaction to fellow brothers and sisters in the church across the world, Bishop Martin Mtumbuka of Karonga Diocese, says it is very sad that after 2000 years of converting people from paganism to Christianity, some of the tired pastors in the church are trying to convert Christianity back to paganism.
Mtumbuka says the churches in Europe are empty because there is no faith in the families saying it is self-fooling to suggest that promoting sexuality will fill the churches observing that anyone of the pastors championing this, is just fooling himself.
He called on all not to be obliged to listen or obey saying the Bishops in Malawi are very quick and strong to criticize appointed or elected leaders when they say or do stupid things, they are morally obliged to respond with the same force and even greater force when such stupid ideas are being championed within their ranks.
The bishop says no one should be forced to accept this, anybody who champion this teaching is contradicting the word of God saying Catholic Bishops in Malawi will not accept its youths to be misled by pastors who are tired of their faith assuring all that they will not follow their fellow pastors who like Judas are betraying Jesus today.
“Polygamy contradicts the word of God so too same-sex unions, we will fight this to the very end like Martyrs of Uganda and so help us God,” reads part of the strong message by Bishop Mtumbuka.
