‘Music in the Hood’ Aim to Promote Young Talent in the Country

Malawi music industry of late has been gaining momentum as far as entertainment is concerned in the country as we have alot of artists doing big on local and international scene.

Even though things are like that most upcoming find it very hard to gain exposure to the industry and society hence the creation of a movement called “Music in the hood”.

According to one of the founders Chinoko Ngulube said that Music in the hood its all about music and promoting young talents.

” Music in the hood is a platform which is giving an opportunity to young upcoming artists in the country to heard to the masses and since its just a new thing we have few episodes which can be accessed on our youtube channel Music in the hood”. He said

Morality C whose real name is Wisdom Chikonga said that this is a ground breaking movement which will help us unearth our talents.

“It will help unearth and deliver talented individuals to the industry which is exactly what we need right now because the industry is saturated with monotonous artists” he said

On being one of the first participants of the movement Morality C says he felt good being part of something that’s about to amount to something great especially on its ground root level and he got to contribute to its success.

Another upcoming artists DBturnUp whose real name is Chris Malindah and is going to be featured in this weeks segment said that this is a big opportunity for them to excel as upcoming artists.

“Its all about helping out people in the hood because in our industry its very difficult to get exposed and also find funds to sponsor your projects so the coming in of this movement will helps us grow and am very excited to be part of the first participants.” Said Malindah

Mzuzu based entertainment journalist Brave Manda commended the Music in the hood for introducing this platform as it will ease things for upcoming artists.

“Its a very good platform for upcoming artists as they will have an opportunity to showcase their talents to the society and what is needed now is that we give them support so that they can fulfil their objectives.” Said Manda

Music in the hood movement comprises of three guys Chinoko Ngulube, Enerst Mayero and Prince Chambo.
