Chakwera Touts Fruitful UK Trip

President of Malawi Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera returns home from London United Kingdom (UK) with words of comfort and hope to Malawians.
Chakwera says investors have promised to come trade and invest in the country.
Chakwera said this upon arrival at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe from London, where he attended the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
“Development partners have committed themselves to support Malawi rebuilding following the devastating effects of Tropical Cyclone Freddy which devoured the southern part of the country.”
He also announced that investment summit will be held in two weeks time in which among other things a follow up on trade and invest agreements will be made.
As Chakwera was in UK he held 19 bilateral meetings with development partners, potential investors and investors who are willingly ready to invest in Malawi.
Among other Chakwera held bilateral meetings with the newly elected Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf, the Prime Minister of the Republic of South Korea , Han Duck-Soo , heads of charity and non- Governmental organisations domiciled in the UK, Head of Nuveeen Natural Capital in London Martin Davies and the owner and Chief Executive Officer for Poundstretcher Azizi Tayub.
