People of Karonga have experienced a dry spell for close to two months which has damaged a lot of crops in the district.

Speaking after inspecting Sunifolo Village in Senior Chief Kilupula area, His Excellency has said that he is devastated with the situation and has seen that there is no hope for harvest this season so as government they will make sure that they help out with the situation.

Furthermore, he has challenged people assigned to carry out the distribution of food relief to be transparent so that each and everyone should be assisted.

Next Stop will be Mwangolera and Muchenjere Village in Paramount Chief Kyungu.
