Moyale Barracks football club on Monday announced that they have signed seven new players ahead of the 2023 Tnm Superleague Season.
Revealing the news, Team Manager Major Denis Flao-Mwale said they are convinced with the way they have performed during the four weeks assessment training.
“Yes today we announced the signing of these players after receiving a convincing report from Head Coach and his backing staff. As Moyale football club we are looking at assessment of last season you may have noted that we started on a low note and improved within the season, so that gave us an eye opener and this time around when we are looking at the squad we wanted to improve it, so that we are not only focusing on improving the immediate return but also looking at improving the team for the future, creating a team for the future that is going to play for a long time that’s why you have seen we have signed new players that are very young some are 19, some 20,”.
“But we are not only looking at the future but also need leaders in the dressing room so this is why we have signed George Luiz Nyirenda a very experienced defender who has played in the league for so many years, but what is bringing to the team is not his playing stamina but also bringing leadership into the team, into the dressing room, that is very very important for us to recognize that we have leaders within the team,” Said Mwale.
Mwale added that it is their hope that Moyale Barracks will do well in the Tnm Superleague and other cups this year.
Former Sable Farming George Luiz Nyirenda has signed a 1 year contract for the soldiers.
Mphatso Kasonga former Mighty Tigers player has signed for 2 years, his contact will run until 2024.
