Chakwera to meet former Malawi presidents

The state President of Malawi Dr Lazarus Chakwera will this week Thursday meet former Presidents of this Country.

Chakwera unveils that, sole purpose of this meeting is to discuss about the disaster our mother land has faced due to cyclone freddy.

The meeting will take place at Sanjika palace in the commercial city Blantyre, where former President Dr Bakili Muluzi, Dr Joyce Banda and professor Author Mutharika are expected to attend the meeting.

Rapid reports from the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DODMA) of Sunday 19 March indicate the rise in the death toll to 476 with 918 injuries and the number of missing persons at 282. The number of those displaced people was 490,098 with 533 camps set up to accommodate the displaced.
